Tools if you’re new to Reiki

Our first featured tool is the Hatsu Rei Ho meditation which we use at the Sunday Reiki shares to create a peaceful atmosphere and get in touch with the energy.   This meditation was part of the process that the founder of Reiki used with his Buddhist students to learn Reiki through meditation over a year or so.  He recommended his students use it daily or morning and evening, along with saying to themselves what are now called the Five Reiki Principles:

Just for today, let go for anger
Just for today, let go of worry
Be grateful today
Do your work earnestly and mindfully
Be kind to others
